Press release 15 June 2022

On 15 June 2022, BME Group announces that it has reached an agreement to acquire Rollwitzer Heizungs-, Sanitär- und Baustoffachhandel GmbH, a Sanitary, Heating and Plumbing (SHAP) as well as a distributor of building materials in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The acquisition strengthens BME Group’s presence in Northern Germany, where the company is one of the leading SHAP distributors.

With its four branches, Rollwitzer offers the opportunity for even closer local coverage of the North-East of Germany, providing customers with an additional showroom and allowing even better access to more pick-up locations.

Rollwitzer is owned and managed by its founders Hartmut Holtz and Petra Holtz. The company employs a total of 27 people. The founders will retire following a handover period, after which the company will be integrated into our German SHAP Business, which since recently operates under the new SHK Deutschland brand.

SHK Deutschland is headquartered in Kiel and operates a network of 120 branches and 30 showrooms under the well established brands SHK | Paulsen, SHK | Bergmann & Franz, and SHK | Detering. SHK Deutschland employs currently over 1.700 employees and is part of the BME Group which also includes the German general building materials distribution companies BAUKING and Mahler.
