The teams’ mission is to develop and improve smart pricing frameworks that help our Operating Companies (OpCos) to evolve towards better and more harmonized pricing models.

Purpose of the Role
The Group Analyst Pricing is part of the BME Pricing Team and works closely together with the Group Manager Pricing and the Group Strategist Pricing. The teams’ mission is to develop and improve smart pricing frameworks that help our Operating Companies (OpCos) to evolve towards better and more harmonized pricing models. He/she is an ambitious, analytical thinker who will be in charge of our pricing data. Providing clear insights and action plans based on data analyses will drive our pricing results and enable us to leverage on opportunities. He/she is jointly responsible to deliver on the OpCos Strategic Pricing Targets like margin improvement and to continuously support these OpCos in their pricing optimization efforts.

As the Group Analyst Pricing you will:
• Master the calculation and methodology of the Pricing Framework and support OpCos to maintain and improve the framework post-implementation
• Own the BME Pricing Dashboard and implement innovations to improve insights used for relevant meetings like steering committees and expert calls (through data access at OpCo level)
• Ensure a proper implementation of the Price, Volume, Mix and Cost methdology (PVMC bridge) at OpCo level and drive discussions along these axes to draft action plan
• Support the BME Pricing Team to design a standardized Pricing Dashboard that will be implemented across tall OpCos to streamline the day to day pricing business through compliance
• Conduct (ad-hoc) analyses requested by OpCos and/or BME Pricing team members
• Support OpCos to calculate Pricing KPIs (must be equal across Group)
• Challenge OpCos on the weekly performance and set up plan for improvement to achieve targets. Ensure discussions are data-driven and factual. Conduct analyses when needed as cross-check
• Support OpCos to implement standardized tooling to leverage compliance within multiple departments of the organization (ie local Pricing lead, Sales, Branch etc), together with the Group Strategist Pricing

Main objective is to create data-driven discussions along the axes of Price, Volume, Mix and Cost effects. Stakeholders must feel comfortable to consult you when conducting analyses and request proper tooling to drive business decisions. As a result stakeholders will be able to maintain and innovate a pricing framework which they fully trust and understand, which as such is an opportunity to drive efficiency/standardization while gradually increasing our margins.

• COMEX Leader, Group Manager Pricing and Group Strategist Pricing
• Local Pricing leads
• Sales Force Excellence BME Team
• Customers
• Occasionally Business Process Owners and Group and OpCo Functional Leads (IT, Finance, Procurement)

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• Gather and analyze data from the various OpCos with different formats
• Build your network and get access to OpCo data to provide support
• Master the Pricing Framework and provide continuous support at OpCo level
• Set up a standardized PVMC methodology and coach OpCos to conduct these analyses
• Set up standardized Pricing Dashboard to monitor and follow up on Compliance
• Make clear agreements with OpCos to implement actions and analyze (interim) results
• Provide analytical support to the BME Pricing Team on request and proactively propose solutions to improve the pricing performance
• Challenge OpCos results and draft action plans (provide analytical support where needed).
• Work together with the Group Strategist Pricing to support the development of standardized pricing tools to analyze and drive the results (ie dashboards, tracking tools etc)
• Deliver input and challenge the Group Manager Pricing on the Group Pricing Strategy
• Support the Group Manager Pricing to execute the Group Pricing Strategy
• Prepare and present pricing topics to OpCo- and BME Management

Education and Experience
• Education background in Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics or Data management
• Business professional with up to five years of experience working with (large) data sets and with multiple stakeholders in an international, commercial environment
• Preferably experienced working with consultancy agencies
• Eager and ambitious with the ability to go at least one level up • Fluent in English and ideally in German, Dutch or French as well; at equal qualification diversity criteria will apply in the final selection process
