Purpose of the Role
As a Private Label Development Project Manager at BME Group, you hold a multifaceted role, responsible for firstly establishing export activities to then drive private label sales within targeted BME countries. You will establish the export activities to facilitate these operations, playing a key role in driving strategic initiatives, ensuring compliance with country-specific product and import requirements, and optimizing the supply chain through effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners. You will be supported by the private label development specialist.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Project Management: Develop a comprehensive Go-To-Market (GTM) plan including after-sales procedures and secure the necessary support from stakeholders to execute it effectively
- Assortment Development: Based on the existing product assortment, create a comprehensive export-oriented assortment and prioritize identification of opportunities for cost optimization within the assortment. Demonstrate a deep understanding of the technical standards mandated by local authorities within BME countries
- Pricing Strategy and Financial Oversight: Develop and implement a strategic pricing strategy aligned with business goals. Ensure accurate invoicing and compliance with pricing agreements, acting as the primary point of contact for pricing matters and dispute resolution
- Sales Support: Develop and implement a structured sales training program to acquaint our sales teams with the quality and purpose of Private Label introductions
- Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Conduct comprehensive market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product assortment expansion and market penetration
- Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance: Oversee regulatory compliance, quality standards, and adherence to government regulations, ensuring that private label products meet all requirements
- Product Information and Localization: Ensure that all product information is available in local languages and align with legal requirements to drive growth in the BME countries
- Promotion and Branding: Oversee the creation of promotional materials and branding strategies to enhance the market presence and recognition of private label products
- Export and Shipping: Explore alternative models beyond Ex-Works, engaging in discussions and alignment with BME, OpCo, and Galvano functions for feasibility and implementation
- Transportation and Distribution Model: Ensure the establishment of a robust supply chain network connecting suppliers, HQ/Hub, and branches

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Supply Chain Management, or Marketing
- Proven experience in category management, in the sanitary or related industry
- Affinity for sanitary products and the sanitary market is a strict requirement
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Fluent in Dutch and English and ideally in German, or French as well
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and cross-functional team environment
- A stable career track with clear career progression within a limited number of employers
- Experience with working in an international and matrix environment
