BME Group strengthens its footprint in the South of Paris with the acquisition of two branches from UMHS

BME Group (BME) and the shareholders of UMHS have reached an agreement on the sale of two of their branches to BME. The branches are located in the Southern part of Paris, in Corbeil-Essonnes and Montlhéry, enabling BME to create a denser network of Raboni branches in its core market.

Established in 1921, UMHS is a multi-specialist distributor of steel and building materials. The two branches employ 21 FTE and fit with the current Raboni network in Paris. After the acquisition, both branches will be rebranded to ‘Raboni’.

BME France, based in Paris, has a network of 45 sites and 2 showrooms in Ile-de-France, operating under the brands ‘Raboni’ and ‘Busca’. Both are established companies for more than 70 years, active in general building materials and Infrastructure products. BME France currently employs 500 employees and is part of the BME Group.

Financial details of the transaction will not be disclosed.
