BME’s Austrian subsidiary Quester celebrated the ground-breaking ceremony of a state-of-the-art specialist store in Krems, Austria. Quester will offer its full product range from its new facility that is expected to be completed in the end of May 2023.

Austria’s leading building materials and tile retailer Quester builds the new facility in Krems to relocate its store from its more than 50-year-old location in the same municipality. The move won’t affect Quester’s over 40 jobs in the region.

The 6,250 sqm state-of-the-art building will offer Quester’s full range of professional building materials, including drylining and outdoor products, and host the biggest tile exhibition in Krems.

Quester’s new store in Krems will be constructed in collaboration with real estate developer Halpin and built on an already developed business district. Parts of the existing buildings will be partially adapted and reused for the construction of the new facility. Moreover, the demolished concrete and asphalt material will be processed on site for reuse, for example as a substructure in the outdoor facilities. The development also carefully recycles building materials where possible.

In addition to Krems, Quester has seven other locations in Lower Austria.
