BME Group acquires Sanidel, expanding its network in Belgium

Sanidel is a specialized merchant in sanitary, heating and plumbing products, expand the network of STG further in the Walloon region of Belgium.

On 3 January 2024, BME Group (BME) and the shareholders of Sanidel have reached an agreement on the sale of Sanidel. Sanidel is a specialized merchant in sanitary, heating and plumbing products and operates three branches in Wallonia (Namur, Marche-en-Famenne and Liège). The acquisition enables BME to expand its network of STG further in the Walloon region of Belgium.

The company is privately owned by Luc Delvaux and employs 20 employees across its branches. Sanidel’s location in Liège will be merged into the existing Liège and Alleur branches of STG. The other two branches will remain operational, extending the existing STG network to the Namur and Ardennes region.

BME is one of Europe’s leading distribution companies in building materials and active in Belgium under the brands ‘BMB Bouwmaterialen’ (General Building Materials), ‘STG’ (Sanitary, Heating and Plumbing Products) formerly known as ‘Sax, Lambrechts and Schrauwen’ and Induscabel.

The acquisition of Sanidel is the 5th acquisition in Belgium since BME became an independent company in 2019, and the 32nd acquisition across the Group.
