BME Group acquires Paepens, densifying its network in Belgium

BME Group (BME) has reached an agreement with the shareholders of Paepens to acquire Paepens, a specialized merchant in sanitary, heating and plumbing products based in Ninove, west of Brussels. This acquisition further strengthens BMEs position in Belgium where it operates under the STG brand.

Paepens has been a family-owned business since its foundation in 1960. The company has built a strong reputation in heating and serves a loyal customer base in the broader Brussels region.

BME is one of Europe’s leading distribution companies in building materials and active in Belgium under the brands ‘BMB Bouwmaterialen’ (General Building Materials), ‘STG’ formerly operating under ‘Sax, Lambrechts and Schrauwen’ and ‘Induscabel’ (Sanitary, Heating and Plumbing Products).

The acquisition of Paepens is the 7^th acquisition in Belgium since BME became an independent company in 2019, and the 36^th acquisition across the Group.
