BME Group Joins the UN Global Compact Initiative
News release 18 November 2024Today, BME Group is pleased to announce that we have joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative — a voluntary initiative for the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible business practices.
With this announcement, BME Group is proud to join thousands of other companies globally committed to taking responsible business action to create the world we all want.
The UN Global Compact is a call to companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 20,000 companies based in over 160 countries, and more than 60 Global Compact Networks.
This significant step aligns with BME’s ongoing commitment to fostering positive change through its services and operations. SGS continues to champion responsible practices that yield tangible value for communities, economies, and the planet.
Commenting on this milestone, Remco Teulings, CEO of BME Group, shared, “Joining the United Nations Global Compact reflects our dedication to shaping a sustainable future. We are excited to collaborate with like-minded organizations to drive positive change and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.”
