BMN takes a major step towards sustainable logistics
News release 17 March 2025
At BME, we are committed to leading the way in fostering more sustainable and responsible practices throughout our value chain.
In this context, we are proud to announce that BMN Netherlands has made a significant move towards sustainable logistics by transitioning its fleet of over 100 trucks to Shell Renewable Diesel (HVO 100).
With HVO 100, BMN can reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 90%, which equates to a reduction of 2,124,000 kg of CO₂ emissions annually. This low-emission fuel, made from waste materials and vegetable oils, plays a key role in lowering the carbon footprint of our logistics operations.
Thanks to Shell’s network of over 60 fueling stations across the Netherlands, BMN can efficiently supply building materials nationwide whilst minimizing the environmental impact of these deliveries. This growing infrastructure is essential to supporting the transition to greener logistics, providing our network of customers and suppliers with low-emission solutions, and fostering a collective approach to sustainability.
