Celebrating BME’s Health & Safety Day
At BME, safety is not just a policy – it is part of who we are. On BME Health & Safety Day, our teams across Europe came together to celebrate, reflect, and renew our commitment to ensuring everyone returns home safe, every day.
Over 13,000 colleagues across our warehouses, branches, showrooms, and offices joined in local activities focused on keeping safety front of mind. This shared moment reinforced that safety is a collective responsibility – something we all live and practice daily.
Launching the “Safety 7 – Because You Matter” campaign
This year’s Health & Safety Day also marked the launch of our “Safety 7 – Because You Matter” campaign. These seven simple ground rules define how we keep ourselves and each other safe, wherever we work. They serve as a daily reminder that safety isn’t optional – it is essential, because every one of us truly matters.
Honouring our safety heroes
A highlight of the day was the announcement of our Health & Safety Heroes – colleagues who go above and beyond to champion safety in their daily work. As a special recognition, all winners will be invited to Amsterdam in December to celebrate together.
