Celebrating BME Health & Safety Heroes 2025

At BME, safety is not just a policy – it is part of who we are. Every day, we strive to ensure that everyone, whether an employee, supplier, contractor, or customer, returns home safe. This commitment is at the heart of our culture, and it shines through in the actions of our people.

This week, we proudly celebrated the winners of the BME Health & Safety Heroes Competition 2025 – colleagues from across our businesses who lead by example and inspire others to keep safety front of mind.

Recognising extraordinary commitment

Ten outstanding winners from across the BME Group were welcomed to Amsterdam, where they were joined by CEO Remco Teulings and representatives from the BME management team. The event provided a unique opportunity to celebrate the winners’ achievements, share experiences and best practices, and learn from each other to strengthen our collective safety culture.

A special highlight of the day was the announcement of the overall BME Health & Safety Hero 2025 – Pierre Damen from BMN. We congratulate Pierre Damen and all winners for their dedication and the inspiration they bring to others.

This celebration builds on the momentum of our BME Health & Safety Day in October 2025, when over 13,000 colleagues across Europe took part in activities that reinforced safety as a shared responsibility.
