BME Group acquires the activities of ironmongery merchant GBI Jacob Bakker in the Netherlands

On 1 September 2022, BME Group closed the acquisition of the activities of GBI Jacob Bakker BV, an ironmongery merchant in the east of the Netherlands.

BME is one of Europe’s leading building material distribution companies and active in the distribution of building materials in Netherlands under the General Builders Merchant (GBM) brands BMN, Raab Karcher, Van Keulen, TGN, De Jager Tolhoek, Galvano and Bouwmaat (18 locations).

BMN is market leader in the Netherlands, with over 120 general building merchant locations and an increasing number of dedicated branches for ironmongery. With this bolt-on acquisition, BME Group further strengthens its ironmongery branch network in the Netherlands.
