BME Announces CEO Transition

BME today announces that Remco Teulings is stepping down as Chief Executive Officer after 9 years of leadership. The Board appoints Ismael Roig as the company’s new CEO, effective May 4, 2026.

A Legacy of Strategic Growth

During his tenure, Remco has been instrumental in navigating BME through its carve-out from CRH Plc and establishing it as a standalone organization. Under his leadership, the company grew both organically as inorganically, supported by more than 40 acquisitions done over the past years. He shaped a company grounded in strong values, with a clear purpose, and a deep commitment to its employees, customers and suppliers. These efforts have created a solid foundation for the company’s next phase.

Introducing Ismael Roig

Following a comprehensive succession process, Ismael Roig joins the company with over 30 years of international leadership experience in complex, regulated industries. He most recently served as President of ADM EMEA (a global leader in agricultural processing and nutrition), where he managed a $40 billion revenue region and led a workforce of over 10,000 employees. His career spans CEO- and Board-level responsibilities across operations, strategy, finance, transformation, and M&A, including leading multi-billion-dollar portfolios.

His extensive background combines deep operational leadership with strong financial discipline, transformation expertise, and a consistent track record of value creation in global organizations.

Ensuring a Seamless Transition

To support a smooth handover, Remco will collaborate closely with Ismael and the Executive Management Team over the coming months.

BME confirms that there will be no changes to business operations or organizational structure as a result of this transition. The company remains focused on executing its long-term strategy and delivering consistent value to its employees, customers and suppliers.
