On 15 March 2023, BME Group (BME) and Huijskes-Boevink have reached an agreement on the sale of their ironmongery activities to BME. The acquisition enables BME to further strengthen its branch network of ironmongery in the east of the Netherlands where it operates under the BMN brands.

“Acquiring the family-owned business of the family Huijskes-Boevink fits our strategy to be close to our customers. They will be able to benefit from BME’s leading scale as well as BMN’s wide product range, digital services and expert advice.”, says Remco Teulings, Group CEO.“ I am thankful that the family sees us as the right owner and I am very pleased to welcome our new colleagues.”

BME is one of Europe’s leading building material distribution companies and active in the distribution of building materials in the Netherlands under the brands BMN, Raab Karcher, Van Keulen, Tegelgroep Nederland, De Jager Tolhoek, Galvano and Bouwmaat (18 locations).

BMN is market leader in the Netherlands, with over 120 general building merchant locations and an increasing number of dedicated specialist branches for ironmongery.
