BME Group acquires Heinrichs Fliesenmarkt, further strengthening its tiles competencies in Northern Germany

BME Group announces that it has reached an agreement to acquire Heinrichs Fliesenmarkt, a tiles distributor operating two branches in Northern Germany. The acquisition further builds out BME Group’s tiles competencies in Germany, where the company is one of the leading Sanitary, Heating and Plumbing (SHAP) distributors.

Tiles specialist ‘Heinrichs Fliesenmarkt’ will be bolt-on to the Paulsen business in the North of Germany, allowing it to offer complete bathroom solutions, similarly to the Bergmann & Franz business in the greater Berlin area. With the acquisition of Heinrichs Fliesenmarkt, BME Group takes another step in expanding its tiles competencies across Europe.

Heinrichs Fliesenmarkt is owned and managed by its founder Mr Heinrich Drews. The company employs a total of 26 people. Mr Heinrich Drews will retire after a handover period and the company will then be managed directly by the Paulsen management team.

BME is one of Europe’s leading building material distribution companies and active in Germany under the brands Bauking and Mahler (distributors of general building materials) as well as Paulsen Gruppe, Detering, Bergmann & Franz (distributors of Sanitary, Heating & Plumbing materials).
