BME Group expands its presence in the Spanish market with the acquisition of drylining specialist Villar MC

Today (1 June 2022), BME Group announces the acquisition of Villar Materiales de Construcción, SA (Villar MC). This acquisition enables BME Group to further expand its drylining and insulation systems competencies and geographical coverage in the Spanish market.

Villar MC, founded in 1958, is one of the leading specialist distributors operating in the north of Spain. Villar MC is specialized in drylining, ceilings, façade and insulation systems and operates a network of 5 branches located in Logroño, Burgos, Bilbao, Zaragoza and most recently Valladolid.

The company, which employs a total of 24 people, will continue to be managed by Mr Eduardo Villar as part of BME’s Spanish platform, Grupo BMV. Headquartered in Barcelona, Grupo BMV’s portfolio also includes the leading companies Isolana, La Especialista, Isopractic and La Instaladora, employing close to 500 people in total. With the addition of Villar MC, Grupo BMV’s building materials distribution network expands to 44 branches throughout Spain.
