About
BME entered the Belgium market of building materials in 2009 with the acquisition of Creyns in the Limburg region. In 2013, Halschoor was acquired, located in the Antwerp region. Followed by the acquisitions in 2014 of Costermans and Heumatop in the Antwerp region and Van den Broeck in East Flanders. Since the end of 2019, BMB continues its expansion with the acquisition of Bridts, followed by the acquisitions of Van der Gucht and De Bouwgroep. This resulted in a market-leading position of BMB in Flanders.
BMB is the trusted partner of architects, product developers, contractors and professional specialists and services them and their customers through their dense network of collect branches and showrooms for building materials and tiles.
Sustainably committed
BMB is strongly committed to making their sites more sustainable. The brand-new almost energy-neutral BREEAM-certified site in Antwerp is a great example of this thanks to investments in sustainable and renewable energy. The other sites are also being ecologically optimised in new construction and renovation work, and energy efficiency is constantly being pursued. In addition, BMB is focusing on offering sustainable materials and services and has heavy materials delivered by ship over the river De Schelde as well as bicycle couriers delivering parcels up to 100 kg in Antwerp city to reduce CO2.
