Jan Bos Steps Down as CFO of BME Group; Mark Tonkens Appointed as Successor

BME Group announces the departure of Jan Bos as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) due to personal reasons. At the same time, BME Group announces that Mark Tonkens has been appointed Group CFO, effective June 1, 2023.

Jan has made the difficult decision to step down, after 3 years of exceptional service to the Group. During his tenure, Jan played an instrumental role in setting up the finance function and guiding the Group to the next phase, operating as a standalone, large-scale company. His unwavering dedication, hard work and exceptional leadership have had a profound impact on the company’s growth and success.

Taking the role of Group CFO is Mark Tonkens, whose appointment is effective as of June 1, 2023. Mark brings with him a wealth of experience in finance, having served as the Group Chief Financial Officer at Borealis for over eight years. Throughout his career, Mark has demonstrated exceptional expertise and leadership. His extensive international experience at companies like Philips and Borealis has provided him with a broad perspective and the ability to deliver value in large-scale companies.
