ABOUT
BME entered the German market in 2005 with the acquisition of 50% of the
shares of BAUKING, and acquired the remaining 50% of shares in 2010. In 2017, BAUKING expanded its network with the acquisition of AGP Baustofzentrum and Krüger & Scharnberg Baustoffe resulting in a market leading position in Northern Germany.
In 2021, BAUKING expanded its footprint to Southern Germany by acquiring Mahler, a leading general building materials and tiles distributor in Bavaria. Other recent acquisitions were Baucentrum Cronrath (2021) and Bäthge Baustroffe (2023). Early 2023, BAUKING strengthened its presence in Southern Germany with the acquisition of Gebhardt Bauzentrum.
